I am Pusheen the Cat Book

Pusheen (the awesomest cat ever) has her very own book!

The book was originally released in the US last October 2013. However, due to public demand, I Am Pusheen the Cat has been translated into not just one but three more languages!

Since Pusheen merchandise, similar to Boo items, are generally distributed online, I was not expecting to physically encounter this gem in Books Kinokuniya, my favorite bookstore in Singapore!

The first page reveals a data sheet all about Pusheen! MEOW

The rest of the book contains kitty comics featuring the fat gray tabby cat in hilarious situations.

VERDICT: 5 out of 5

Despite the lack of Pusheen’s adorable fat-wobbling GIFs, the book still manages to convey the fat tabby as weirdly funny and most importantly: extremely adorable. I am Pusheen the Cat is bound to keep you entertained for hours whether in English, French, Deutsch or Chinese.

So I have been keeping this blog as a semi-journal to chronicle my trips, meals and books because my faulty brain is incapable of remembering everything. So to let off steam, I’ve been jotting my experiences down and pasting up my photos here instead of on the conventional leather bound journal.

But I’ve noticed that my posts are beginning to help other people so I might as well make it public. So here’s to signing up on Bloglovin! Cheers to more travels and posts! 😀

Bridal Booking

At age 23, I found myself researching online to prepare for a very intimate affair, a wedding.

*SHOCKED ANIMATED FACE*

It won’t be my own because admittedly, I would prefer around a decade more as an individual unit. This wedding is in celebration of my parents’ 25th anniversary, which is quite a feat for couples nowadays.

The happy couple in Times Square, New York

While looking up possible churches and reception venues, I suddenly remembered Bridal Book, a complete wedding directory for bride-to-bes and wedding suppliers. Just to be clear, I am not paid to write about Bridal Book, I am just relieved  it exists to help harassed women like me.

In addition to the extensive directory of suppliers for everything a bride would ever need, archives of successful weddings with all their details are listed and photographed. Anyone can find inspiration from the collection of weddings and I made all of this to good use. There is no need to purchase dozens of wedding magazines that offer only a handful of useful information. Here, I have control over my search, decreasing the time and effort needed.

Way to go, Bridal Book!

Empty Planners

Empty Planners

Starbucks_Planner_2013_25281_2529

The holidays foster not only gift-giving but planner-hoarding as well. I’ve noticed quite a lot of my friends who are obsessed with collecting stickers in exchange for overrated planners from coffee establishments.

The BDJ Power Planner is specially designed for practical young working women. Perfect in countering boring and expensive planners!

I used to be guilty of this charge until I came across the Belle de Jour Power Planner, which is reasonably priced and well-suited to my planning needs. It wasn’t til this discovery that I realized how crazy it seems to hoard dozens of planners when their pages would remain empty anyway.

After the End

It was prophesied that the world would end in 2012. But after our supposed demise, here we are, apparently still alive and breathing.

2012 was an intense roller coaster ride with extreme ups and downs. I was able to travel with my family, visiting both local and international destinations. My beloved grandfather was hospitalized and put to rest. I finally moved on allowed myself to fall in love. I quit my job for a job offer that I ended up declining. I ended up broke, without a job and basically back to zero.

After the end, it’s amazing just to find myself still standing. I may be back to zero but with 2013 comes a second chance at life.

And this time, I’m going to make it count.
